[H]ard|OCP reviews EVGA nForce 680i LT SLI motherboard
EVGA's nForce 680i LT SLI "Designed by NVIDIA" motherboard uses the latest NVIDIA chipset supporting Intel's Core 2 processor line. It is being targeted as a budget solution with teeth, and that is exactly what it seems to be.
Whether the new "LT" moniker after the now well know "680i" branding stands for "light" or even "little tyke" you should know that this new motherboard chipset does rightly support the 680i namesake.
The new 680i LT SLI chipset is very much the same product as it big brother with fewer bells and whistles as you can see on the following pages. For the enthusiast the big differences are going to be in the BIOS. This new LT chipset has a more limited set of performance overclocking options than the 680i. That said, it is still very robust in its options and the feature set should be deep enough for many overclockers out there. Many of the swanky features found on the 680i motherboards are left by the wayside such at heatpipe cooling, reset switches on the PCB, and LED post codes displays.
